ASEM Catalunya is the Association of neuromuscular disease of Catalonia. The ASEM Catalonia has been working for 20 years; the SMA group was formed in 2000.
It now has about 100 families members, and it is in contact with other groups and families all round the world.
The ASEM Catalonia funds research and the meetings among the families and is close to the researchers, looking for a cure and management to maintain and/or improve the health of those affected by SMA.
